Mia Muruato of Casa Grande Union High School (CGUHS) was recognized Tuesday, April 5, as one of the Casa Grande Union High School District’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) Students of the Month at the district’s Governing Board meeting. Mia was nominated by her CTE Marketing Teacher, Mr. David Carter, who had this to say, “Mia is in her 2nd year of our Marketing program, Marketing II. She excels in the classroom as well as our work-based learning lab, the DECA Store. She is responsible for preparing the lab for two lunch periods and successfully completes all her duties. She is very thorough in her classwork and her DECA Store responsibilities. She is also a Teacher’s Aide and continues to satisfy all responsibilities in the classroom and the DECA Store. In addition to all this, Mia excels in DECA, having served on the Board of Directors, and excels in DECA competitions. She also plans to major in Marketing in college. Mia is an excellent choice for CTE Marketing Student of the Month!” Mia’s parents are Mario and Melanie Muruato of Arizona City, Arizona. Over 1,600 students are enrolled in fifteen different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District.
