Angel Becerra at the Governing Board meeting

(VGHS) We are proud to recognize Angel Becerra, son of Arcelia Becerra, as our May Rotary Student of the Month. A dedicated and well-rounded student, Angel stands out both in the classroom and in his community.

Angel is a senior in the top 10% of the Class of 2025 and has consistently challenged himself through honors courses throughout his high school career. A standout athlete, he is a two-time state qualifier in Track & Field and currently holds the school record for the 110-meter hurdles with a legal wind time. In addition to his academic and athletic achievements, Angel is a recipient of the Seal of Biliteracy, highlighting his commitment to academic excellence and cultural literacy.

Outside of school, Angel has worked at Raising Cane’s for two years, where he has advanced to the role of trainer, demonstrating strong leadership, responsibility, and work ethic.

Looking to the future, Angel plans to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering at Northern Arizona University. He also dreams of traveling the world, obtaining his pilot’s license, and experiencing the most exquisite cuisines from around the globe.

Angel Becerra exemplifies the values of determination, ambition, and curiosity. We congratulate him on his many accomplishments and look forward to seeing all that he will achieve.
