(CGUHS) Cooper Dale was recognized Tuesday, September 26, as the October Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month at the district’s Governing Board meeting. Cooper was nominated by his CTE Construction Technologies Teacher, Mr. Michael Wagner. “Cooper Dale has consistently made himself a valued asset to the Construction Technologies program. Beginning his courses in his sophomore year, Cooper excelled in carpentry, earned his OSHA 10, and, by the end of that year, requested to double down on construction classes for his junior year. As a junior, he hustled through the curriculum as an intermediate and advanced student with two (2) hours of construction daily. Through quality note taking and performance, Cooper earned his NCCER credentials, scored high on the technical skills assessment, completed an OSHA 30 course through Central Arizona College, and was selected as the SkillsUSA Teamworks Carpenter. Cooper is also an outstanding person; well-grounded and humble, he never wants to disappoint his family, teachers, or peers. He places a high emphasis on being a leader and encourages others around him to take responsibility to develop their skills. After high school, Cooper plans to attend trade school at the Arizona Operators Engineering Apprenticeship here in Casa Grande, with an interest in mobile crane operation. Thank you, Cooper, for a job well done.” Cooper’s parents are Mr. Justin Dale and Ms. Andrea Dale of Casa Grande, Arizona. Over 1,600 students are enrolled in thirteen different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month, a different CTE program nominates a deserving student for this honor. For past recipients, visit https://www.cguhsd.org/CTE.aspx.
