Before the start of the 2022-2023 school year, dozens of CGUHS Link Crew leaders donated hours of their time to get training and make welcome posters for Freshmen Orientation. These amazing juniors and seniors were trained by Norma Machelor, Dylon Matthews, and Kristin McCallin in how to lead their own groups of students; freshmen that they would not meet until the day of orientation. After playing a few games in the gym, freshmen were taken to classrooms by their leaders, where they played small group games that allowed them to get to know each other. They were then taken on a campus tour by their Link Crew leaders. After lunch, many leaders went a second extra-mile and further volunteered to stay even longer, helping freshmen find their classrooms as a modified quick schedule was run in the afternoon.
