Ella Barth was recognized Tuesday, November 1, as the CGUHS Rotary Student of the Month at the district’s Governing Board meeting. She was recognized for her school and community involvement, achievements, activities, and leadership skills: University of Arizona Wildcat Distinction Scholarship Recipient (Sr), Passion Church Production Team Member (Sr), Passion Church Creative/Graphics Team Intern (Sr), Passion Church Youth Group Leader (Sr, Jr, So), National Honor Society Member (Sr), NASA ASCEND Project Member (Sr), Homecoming Royalty Nominee (Jr), Student Council Member (Jr), SEDS USA Member and High School Expansion Coordinator (Jr), Students for the Exploration & Development of Space (SEDS) Member (Jr), CTE Courses (Sr, Jr, So), AP Certificate of Achievement (So), AP Courses (Sr, Jr, So), Pre-AP Courses (Fr), Robotics Team Member (So), SkillsUSA Engineering Division President (Jr), SkillsUSA Engineering Technology & Design National Championship Team 10th Place (So), SkillsUSA Engineering Technology & Design State Championship Team (Sr) (Jr-4th Place) (So-1st Place), SkillsUSA Member (So), Outstanding Student in Pre-Calculus Academic Excellence Award (Jr), Outstanding Student in Engineering (Fundamentals of Fabrication & Manufacturing) Academic Excellence Award (So), Honors Student (So, Fr), Honor Roll (Sr, Jr, So, Fr), and Student Council Member (Fr). After high school, Ella plans to attend Arizona State University’s (ASU’s) Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering and earn a bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering then earn a master’s degree. After college, she would like to work for a company such as Intel or Apple, focusing in Electrical & Systems Engineering. Ella is the daughter of Christina and the late Benjamin Barth.
