Ms. Malonzo’s VGHS Freshman Investigative Science engaged in a collaborative group dynamic activity in September 2022. The concept of Atomic Structure paved the way to create a model-making approach. According to Ms. Malonzo, “After explaining the concept of Atomic Structure, as an educator, you need to create creative ideas that would originate from their everyday experience that would enhance abstract concept. This type of activity slows students’ thinking down and encourages them to think deeply and imaginatively about scientific ideas.
