CGUHS hosted their Academic Award Ceremonies on Tuesday, April 26. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors were recognized during a morning ceremony while Seniors received recognition at their own ceremony in the evening. Students who earned a 3.5 or higher GPA for the first time received a scholastic chenille letter while all second+ recipients received an academic bar. Additionally, Seniors with a 3.5 or higher GPA received the President's Academic Excellence Award signed by President Joe Biden. Department awards were also given to students nominated by their teachers for displaying exemplary academic achievement. Valedictorian Hunter Scholes and Salutatorian Clara Mungia Rivas were recognized during the Senior event and awarded with beautiful glass trophies for their outstanding accomplishments.
