On Monday, November 14, and Tuesday, November 15, two VGHS students attended the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy Sustainability Alliance Conference. Victoria Mogyoros-Melchor and Nevea’Lee Thomas were two students selected in the entire state of Arizona to meet with and present to members of the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy. The young scholars spent two days meeting with members and CEO’S of major Dairy and Food and Agriculture corporations. They had the pleasure of spending a day at the Kerr and Stotz Dairy Farms, meeting with Lisa Watson (President of Social Innovation Responsibility for the U.S. Dairy), Nancy Sandbach (Vice-President of Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy), Dr. Venus Welch-White (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency), and was interviewed by Scott Wallin (Vice President of Media Relations for Dairy Management Inc.).
