On Friday, November 4, Vista Grande High School’s Civil Air Patrol (CAP- 131 Squadron, Charlie Flight) had four cadets take orientation flights from the Casa Grande Airport. The cadets (Skyla Barnhart, Anthony Johnson, Erick Rios, and Athena Williams) took off in a Cessna aircraft, learned basic controls, and piloted the aircraft while in the air. Each cadet had approximately 70 minutes of flight time to experience the thrill of flying and learn about aviation careers.
