Vista Grande hosted the first rivalry game for Girls Flag Football between the Spartans and Cougars. The girls played aggressively and never gave up. The Cougars came out ahead 42 to 0. Matt Herman, Renee Louzon-Benn, and Zoe Cooper presented the Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce Bowl trophy. The game was well attended by supportive fans that included Mayor Craig McFarland; City Council members Anthony Edwards, Donna McBride, Lisa Fitzgibbons, and Matt Herman; Superintendent Jeff Lavender; Governing Board President Chuck Wright, and Governing Board member Kelly Herrington. It was fantastic to see the community and both schools come out and witness such great sportsmanship.
