Social Studies Teacher, shares her ‘why’: “Empty boxes of donuts. The behind these empty boxes of donuts is ‘My Why’. I had 100% of my 1st hour complete and turn in their project ON TIME! Believe me…that’s a huge deal! I bragged to my principal-THEEE Mr. Danzy- about how proud I was of them. By the end of the hour, Mr. Danzy and his administration team brought in donuts for the whole class and celebrated them. These kids didn’t do it for donuts; I didn’t brag about them for donuts, but MY principal wanted to celebrate my kids with them. My students were elated, and one even said, ‘It’s a great day to be a Spartan’. I drive miles and miles each way, but I sure do love what I do.”
