Rotary Student of the Month
CG-RotaryStudentOfMonth202312FaguiniKanojia (1)

(CGUHS) Faguini Kanojia was recognized Tuesday, December 5, as the December Rotary Student of the Month at the district’s Governing Board meeting. Faguini is a part of NTHS, NHS, Link Crew, Student Council, HOSA, Cultures & Languages Club, Fashion Design Club, and Key Club. She volunteers at Banner Hospital every Sunday and works at ROSS. Last year, Faguini won CAVIT Medical Science Student of the Year. According to Ms. Belinda Long, RMA, CAVIT Medical Assisting Instructor, “Faguini Kanojia is one of the hardest working students in all of my classes combined. She is driven, polite, and engaged. She is very competitive, but also inclusive and enjoys being part of the leadership in our classroom. I have had the pleasure of working with Faguini as part of our HOSA Officer team. She has traveled to Tucson in competitions and Washington D.C. for a Leadership Conference and has always exhibited exemplary behavior and engagement. She has aspirations of being accepted to Georgetown University, which I support due to her dedication and drive. When we talk about community service, or ways to bring HOSA to others, she wants to take it to India where she is from. That says a lot about this young lady. She wants others to benefit from the same opportunities that she has and include them. She is amazing  and is well deserving of this recognition. Thank you for allowing me to say a few things because I really admire Faguini and appreciate the opportunity to work alongside her.” According to Mrs. Norma Machelor, Link Crew Advisor, “Faguini is a Link Crew Commissioner Officer, for which I am one of the coordinators. Link Crew’s main goal is to recruit seniors and juniors to become Link Crew leaders and help freshmen in their transition to high school with multiple events throughout the year. Her commitment to this school program shows her dedication and her compassion to her younger classmates. She is a hard-working young woman who cares a great deal about others and motivates other leaders to follow her steps. She works diligently with her fellow officers, and her contributions to the discussion are always positive and encouraging.” After graduation, Faguini plans to attend a four-year university on a Pre-Med pathway while working as a Medical Assistant and then attend medical school.
