The AIA Spirit State Qualifier & Championships were held January 19-21 at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, Arizona. The Casa Grande Union High School Cougar Spiritline competed in the All-Girl, Division 2, show cheer category against 22 other teams from around the valley. The Cougar Spiritline's performance Friday at qualifiers placed them in the top 10, advancing them to the championships on Saturday. They came home with a sixth-place finish. This year is the eleventh consecutive state championship placement for the Cougar Spiritline program.
