Katherine Lara Quintero of Vista Grande High School was recognized on Tuesday, November 2, as the Casa Grande Union High School District’s VGHS Rotary Club of Casa Grande Student of the Month during the district’s Governing Board meeting. Katherine was recognized for her activities and accomplishments: National Honors Society (President), S.A.C.C., Link Crew, JROTC (2-Yrs), JROTC Sergeant (2019-20), Eloy’s Fiesta Volunteer, Electric Light Parade Volunteer (2-Yrs), Toys for Tots Volunteer, Army Reserves Recruit, First-Generation College Student (2022), and AP Spanish Exam (Score of 5). In her free time, she enjoys playing drums and bass. After high school, she plans to study Pre-Med at the University of Arizona (UArizona) where she was awarded the Wildcat Excellence Scholarship then attend medical school to become a Cardiologist.
