Treston Cardita of Casa Grande High School was recognized Tuesday, September 7, as one of the Casa Grande Union High School District’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month at the district’s regular monthly Governing Board meeting. Treston was nominated by his CGUHS Agriscience teacher Mr. Casey Farnsworth who had this to say about Treston, “Treston Cardita is a freshman student at CGUHS in the Agriculture Program who is enjoying his time inside the classroom and outside in our land labs. Treston brings a positive attitude with excitement to learn by doing as he is always ready to step up to the challenge and complete daily tasks; whether getting our garden prepared to plant or memorizing the FFA Creed. He sets a good example to his peers and is one they can look up to. Treston has been involved as a student intern in our program’s Cougar Country Market. Treston is trustworthy, loyal, and always willing to lend a hand where it’s needed; gaining hands-on, real-world experience in our program. He has developed a foundational Supervised Agriculture Experience and has clear career goals of what he would like to pursue after high school. He’s an exceptional student who I am proud of as he starts this journey in the Agriculture Program and looks forward to becoming an active member of the Casa Grande FFA.” Treston’s parents are Jeff  and Haley Cardita of Casa Grande. Over 1,600 students are enrolled in 15 different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month, a CTE program nominates a deserving student for this honor. For more information on the CTE programs, visit www.cguhsd.org/CTE.aspx.
