The VGHS Spartans Softball Team competed at the 4A State Championship on Monday, May 17. At the state title game, held at the University of Arizona’s Hillenbrand Stadium in Tucson, their historic run was stopped short with a heartbreaking loss to Salpointe Catholic (5-4).
