CGUHS’s Jaylie Foye was one (1) of 20 students from around Arizona to be selected to serve on Superintendent Kathy Hoffman's Student Advisory Council for the Arizona Department of Education (ADE). The ADE Student Advisory Council was created under the leadership of Superintendent Hoffman to center students’ voices and improve K-12 education in the state. Twenty students representing grades 5 through 12 are selected each year to participate in this advisory council as part of Superintendent Hoffman’s efforts to elevate the voices of students in Arizona. Students on the Advisory Council meet with Superintendent Hoffman and other education leaders quarterly to discuss issues such as academics, technology, school safety, and provide feedback on their experience as students. Well done, Jaylie! For more information on the program, visit www.azed.gov/adeinfo/student-advisory-council.
