Vista Grande High School Marine Corps JROTC Cadets (pictured left to right) Santana Garcia, Aleena Nielson, Clayton Miller, Erin Swift, Jovian Romero, Pristina Valencia, and Logan Bowen exhibited discipline and bearing. They stood militarily poised at parade rest in the Marine Corps JROTC classroom at Vista Grande High School on Saturday, July 24, during New Cadet Orientation. Well over 20 parents, with many more new cadets and other family members attended a meet and greet session with instructors and veteran cadets. While wearing a myriad of JROTC uniforms, the veteran cadets answered questions and excitedly shared insights when interacting with guests. Plenty of light snacks and refreshments concluded the event. When told of the cadets’ idea, Vista Grande’s administrative staff gladly approved and supported this opportunity to strengthen school and community relations.
