Riata Boyle of Casa Grande Union High School was recognized Tuesday, September 1, as the Casa Grande Union High School District’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month during the district’s regular monthly school board meeting. Riata was nominated by her Agriculture teacher Mr. Casey Farnsworth at Casa Grande Union High School who stated, “Riata is a sophomore and an exceptional student; a great example to her peers and all she comes within contact. She has achieved so much over the last year in the Agriculture/FFA program. She has been active in multiple hands-on learning projects such as her involvement in her family’s dairy operation, our Ag programs poultry production enterprise, and her love of equine which has developed her passion for competing in High School Rodeo events. Riata served as a Greenhand FFA Officer last year and is currently serving as the chapter Sentinel. She has a fun and outgoing personality and is always looking to lend a hand where a hand is needed and is always willing to go above and beyond to grow as a leader. She can always be counted on to get the job done.” Riata’s parents are Keith Boyle and Misty Wells of Casa Grande. Over 1,800 students are enrolled in the fifteen Career and Technical Education programs offered in the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month, a student from each program may be nominated for this recognition program. Visit www.cguhsd.org/CTE.aspx.
