Seven (7) VGHS Thespians competed at the Southern Arizona Festival of Theatre (SAFT) on Saturday, January 25. Students competed in the musical solo and musical duet categories. They achieved six (6) “Superior” and one (1) “Excellent” and qualified for Nationals. Attendees were Arthur Bautista, Jade Martinez, Xela Mae Mercado, Drake Salas, Aaliyas Thompson, Payton Toscano, and Aurora Yoder. Receiving perfect scores from one of their judges were Arthur Bautista, Jade Martinez, and Aaliyas Thompson. The Spartans are directed by CTE & Fine Arts Teacher KJ Harding.
