On Friday, January 3, CGUHS STEM Engineering seniors John Travis Daniel and Chloé Buchanan led workshops on 3D modeling with SolidWorks at the 2020 FIRST Robotics Competition Kick Off Workshops in Phoenix. Both seniors brought experience and knowledge to those attending the workshop. Travis and Chloé successfully completed the “Introduction to Computer Aided Design” course as freshmen. Travis earned the professional Certified SolidWorks Associate designation and was trained and certified to teach SolidWorks. The robotics workshops were attended by students from all over Arizona. The CGUHS FIRST Robotics Team #996 and Introduction to Computer Aided Design (CAD) class is coached and taught by CTE and Mathematics Teacher John Morris.
