CTE Student of the Month
1

Daniel Wiles of Vista Grande High School was recognized Tuesday, January 14, as the Casa Grande Union High School District’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month during the district’s regular monthly school board meeting. Daniel was nominated by his Early Childhood Education (ECE) teacher Mrs. Cassandra Yeo. Daniel has been in the ECE program for three (3) years. He has always had a willing spirit and a good sense of humor, been the voice of reason at times, and been a willing handy man when needed. This year, as an intern, Daniel has really stepped up and taken to his leadership role. He supervises other students in making morning snacks every day and makes sure they adhere to Food Safety Standards and clean up after themselves. He also oversees the beginning students as they fulfill their daily duties. Daniel is the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Co-President. He takes his position seriously and is working hard to grow the program. Daniel’s parents are Danny and Betty Wiles of Casa Grande. Over 1,600 students are enrolled in the thirteen Career and Technical Education programs offered in the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month a different program may nominate a student for this recognition program.
