CTE Student of the Month
1

Lane Medd of Casa Grande Union High School was recognized Tuesday, September 3, as the Casa Grande Union High School District’s Career & Technical Education Student of the Month during the district’s regular monthly school board meeting. Lane is a sophomore agriculture student in Mr. Casey Farnsworth’s Agriculture Education Program. Mr. Farnsworth nominated Lane because he always has a positive outlook on life, is always willing to serve, and does so with a smile. Lane has a passion for what he does inside and outside of the classroom and takes great pride in doing so. He shows livestock at the county fair, is involved in the program’s poultry enterprise and crop production, and is even willing to assist with projects throughout the summer break. Lane is serving as one of this year’s FFA chapter officers, is a fine example to his peers, is always willing to go above and beyond, and is simply a joy to have around. Lane’s parents are Val & Laurie Medd of Casa Grande. Over 1,800 students are enrolled in the fifteen Career & Technical Education programs offered in the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month, a student from each program may be nominated for this recognition program.
