Mairim Ramirez-Montaz of Vista Grande High School was recognized Tuesday, February 4, as the Casa Grande Union High School District’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month during the district’s regular monthly school board meeting. Mairim was nominated by her Culinary Teacher Kim Rains. She is currently the FCCLA Club President and has worked tirelessly in support of the student-led café and catering events at VGHS. She attended FCCLA Fall Leadership Camp and will attend State Leadership Conference this spring. She recently represented the VGHS Culinary  program at the community forum on workforce development and has represented the Culinary program in numerous outreach opportunities this fall. Mairim’s parents are Julio and Emirys Ramirez of Casa Grande. Over 1,600 students are enrolled in the thirteen Career and Technical Education programs offered in the Casa Grande Union High School District.
