Natalia Hernandez of Vista Grande High School was recognized as the Casa Grande Union High School District’s Career and Technical (CTE) Student of the Month, Tuesday, April 14, at the Casa Grande Union High School District’s Governing Board Meeting. Natalia is a second-year Marketing student who has served as the DECA Treasurer this year and has consistently gone above and beyond whenever the need arises. Her positive attitude, even in times of struggle, has influenced both her own classmates and the students who are soon to be Spartans. She spent many hours advocating for the Marketing program with junior high visits during the third quarter. She attended Fall Leadership Conference, the DECA Power Trip in Washington, D.C., and the State Career Development Conference in Phoenix this past year. She has remained determined to compete, has provided hands-on help with the internship in the DECA Store, and served as a strong leader during DECA trips. Natalia’s mother is Marivel Navarro of Casa Grande. Over 1,600 students are enrolled in 15 different Career and Technical Education Programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month, a different CTE program nominates a deserving student for this honor.
