CGUHS’s Santiago Hernandez was recognized by CTE Teacher George Courtney as the CTE Automotive Technology Student of the Year on May 5. Santiago has been in the Automotive Program for three (3) years. During his time in the program, he has attained two (2) Automotive Service Excellence certifications in Brakes and Light Maintenance and Repair. He also competed in SkillsUSA competitions. Mr. Courtney stated, “Santiago is one of my students who has helped build a new identity and culture for the program. I am confident Santiago will be successful in his future endeavors. He has been accepted into Universal Technical Institute where he will attend this fall.
