(VGHS) Over Veterans Day weekend, Sergio Aguilera, a senior and dedicated Key Club member, traveled to Vanderwagen, New Mexico, to participate in Key Leader, a leadership program sponsored by Kiwanis International. Through group discussions, personal reflection, interactive activities, and a ropes challenge course, Key Leader helps high school students develop essential leadership skills.
This was Sergio's second year attending Key Leader. He was selected to serve as a student facilitator for small group activities, called "neighborhoods". Sergio has been actively involved in Key Club since his freshman year, serving as Club Vice President, Mogollon Rim Lt. Governor, and, currently, the K-KOMP Coordinator for the Southwest District.
A special thank you goes to the Kiwanis Club of Casa Grande for their generous donation, which helped make it possible for Sergio to attend Key Leader this year.
