(CGUHSD) Vista Grande’s Principal Vance Danzy selected Joe Hawkins, Equipment Manager, for the Stepping Out From Behind The Counter Award. Mr. Danzy says, “Mr. Hawkins has been at Vista Grande High School since it opened. He has done a phenomenal job of taking care of our student-athletes with all their equipment needs. He has stepped out from behind the counter for an extraordinary number of students in various ways that often go unseen. He builds meaningful relationships that last a lifetime for the student-athletes he works for and with.”
