(VGHS) Sylvester Amorsolo, Science Teacher, received the Stepping Out From Behind The Counter Award. Principal Vance Danzy had this to say, “Mr. Amorsolo has taken on the Department Chair role for the Science Department, and we have not missed a beat. He steps up any time that he is asked to do anything. Any time I speak with a student who has or had Mr. Amorsolo, they often describe his class as difficult and tough, but then, in the same sentence, they say they love his class due to the standards he sets for each student. They all say that the structure he creates in his classes helps them in their other classes. We truly appreciate his efforts in helping us with our monthly unscheduled fire drills due to the wonderful science experiments he does in his classes.” We are so lucky to have him.
