(CGUHS) Alexi Maestas and Rachel Honeybone have students with the most unique needs on campus and know each other’s students. One day, Alexi was on her way to work when she saw one of Rachel’s students walking off campus, which was definitely not the norm. She pulled over to see if he was okay and where he needed to be. She contacted Rachel and together they ensured the student was safe. Rachel was in contact with the family. This is a perfect example of stepping out from behind the counter to meet the unique needs and circumstances of our students. They both deserve recognition as this is just one of many instances where they showed that our students come first. For past recipients visit
