GENERAL ANNOUNCMENTS  

A canned food drive starts this week. For every can or food item donated your name will be entered into daily drawings for gift cards, free prom tickets, free parking passes, free athletic passes, and DECA gift certificates. Any nonperishable food items are appreciated such as canned foods, peanut butter, boxed macaroni and cheese and ramen noodles. Bring your items to Mrs. Batina in D102, Mrs. Brady in F209, or Ms. Harvey in childcare.  Every 3 cans donated earns you 1 hour of volunteer hours.  

NHS is sponsoring a toy drive! Bring in a toy between now and Nov. 30 to help make Christmas a better day for a child. Deliver to D102, Mrs. Batina’s classroom. (Read until 11/29th) 

The FFA steak fry is coming up on Nov 17th. Buy your tickets from any FFA member for only 15$ 

Do you know any veterans? A free veteran’s dinner will be held on campus on Monday, November 13th at 5 pm in the Cateria. Any veteran and their families are welcome to attend this free dinner.  

In honor of Veteran’s Day there will be no school on Friday Nov. 10th  

CLUBS & ACTIVITIES

The Drama/Thespians club will meet Monday after school at 3:30. See Mr. Keplar for questions.  

E-Sports will meet Wednesday from 3:15-4:15 in the reference room in the library 

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT

Attention seniors, the college Fair at CAC is on Nov. 7th . You will be able to meet with various CAC Programs & Universities to help you find your path. Limited to 45 students, so hurry and pick up your permission slips TODAY at the counseling center. Permission slips are due Nov 2nd. 

ATHLETICS 

Freshman and JV football players interested in trying out for boys Basketball, Session 2 for students that participated in Fall Sports will have tryouts on Monday Nov 6th through the 8th. For questions, please email Coach Howell. 

Congratulations to the CGUHS varsity football team for making it to play offs! The game is Thursday evening at Apollo High School in Phoenix. You can buy your tickets at gofan.co 

Caleb Adams took 9th place in the Cross-Country Division 2 State Championship on November 4th making him an all-state runner. This is the first time in a very long time that a Cougar Cross Country runner has placed and medaled in the top 10! Please Congratulate Caleb on all of his hard work this season.
