The VGHS Volleyball team earned its first-ever region title on Thursday, October 27, after a four-set win over El Mirage Dysar. The Spartans finished first in the 4A Black Canyon Region with a 9-1 record (10-7 overall). No. 16 Vista Grande (10-7) will make its first-ever postseason appearance at the 4A Conference State Tournament against No. 17 Surprise Paradise Honors on Tuesday, November 1, at VGHS @ 6 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at https://gofan.co/app/school/AZ67946. The Spartans are coached by Ateliano Tuiteleleapaga.
