In Mrs. Brady's Biology classes at Casa Grande Union High School, students are learning about diabetes and how the body processes sugar and carbohydrates. Students studied and then made models of the cell and the organelles within it. In the final part of the project, students will make a video using their models to explain how the cells in the pancreas make and release insulin in response to higher-than-normal blood sugar levels.
