On October 23, Mia Davis attended Arizona State University’s Stunt and Cheer Combine Clinic. Colleges and universities around Arizona were there looking for student-athletes to recruit. Mia received an offer that day to Arizona Christian University (ACU) for Stunt and Cheer. On January 29, Mia signed with ACU accepting the scholarship and team positions. On May 22, Vista Grande High School (VGHS) recognized Mia for her accomplishment. Mia is the first cheerleader in VGHS history to receive a cheerleading scholarship. We are so proud of her for leaving her legacy on the team, school, and coaches. Mia would like to thank "my team and coaches for instilling confidence in me and always trusting me to be a good leader. And another thank you to my coaches for not only making me stronger physically but mentally and always being there when I needed help." Mia will study Psychology and eventually get her degree in Criminal Psychology. The Spartans are coached by Serina Felix, Vanessa Martinez, and Dena Seavello. Visit www.cguhsd.org/vgSpiritline.aspx.
