Community Service Hours
Are you in need of community service hours? The Pride of Casa Grande Marching Band is hosting a band competition at CGUHS on Saturday, September 30. We have jobs all afternoon and into the evening. Some start at noon, and others start at 3:00 pm. If you are interested, come by the Band room to sign up for a time.
Hygiene Drive
Bring your hygiene items for the Hygenie Drive to Ms. DeCarlo in the office, Mrs. Brady in Room F209, or to the Bookstore. Each item, such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and deodorant, will earn you 30 minutes of community service. The Hygiene Drive ends Friday, September 29.
Candy Drive
The Trick or Treat Spooktacular Drive Thru event is back on Monday, October 30! In order for this event to be successful, we need candy and lots of it. Starting Monday, October 16, through Friday, October 27, Student Council is sponsoring a candy drive. Please bring your candy to your 3.5 Cougar Time teacher. The class who donates the most candy will win a donut party.
Spooktacular Trick or Treat Drive Thru
Student Council is sponsoring the Trick or Treat Drive Thru on Monday, October 30, from 5-7 p.m. This is a family-friendly trick or treating event. Cars will enter at the bus barn off of Trekell Road. We look forward to seeing you there!
Town Hall
On Monday, September 25, there will be a Town Hall meeting in the Auditorium hosted by Superintendent Lavender. This is a great time to come and ask questions about our school’s progress and to give feedback about what is going well and what may need some extra attention. This event starts at 7 pm. All families in our community are welcome.
Cultures & Languages Club
Cultures & Languages Club meets every Monday in Mrs. Machelor´s class, Room E200. We had success planning the Hispanic Heritage Month Fiesta together with the Spanish teachers and classes. Now, we will start planning our next event for school. Come and join us.
Freshman Class Student Council Meeting
Freshman Class Student Council meeting today after school in Room F209. Any freshmen interested in being a part of Student Council is welcome to attend.
Today's Home Athletics
There are lots of home athletics today including:
- Flag Football game starts at 5 pm tonight on the Cougar football field
- Boys Golf has a home match today against multiple schools at Dave White Golf course starting at 3 pm
- Swim Team has a home meet today at 4 pm at Palm Island Pool against Sahuarita & Mountain View Marana
