(VGHS) Martín Heraldez, son of Martín & María Heraldez, was selected as the Rotary Student of the Month. Martín is an integral part of the Spartan community. The staff holds him in high regard as a very respectful and gracious young man. Throughout his high school career, he has participated in Key Club, AP Club, and Student Council, and played on the soccer team. Martín has previously served on the Student Council Community Service Committee and is currently the AP Club Vice President. Each year, he has been recognized for his scholastic achievements by maintaining a 4.59 cumulative GPA. Martín will graduate Magna Cum Laude and is ranked number four within the Class of 2023. This year, he was awarded the College Board’s National Hispanic Scholar Award for earning a 1270 on his PSATs and has previously been recognized as an AP Scholar with Honor for scoring three or higher on four AP tests. Martín is also exceptionally hardworking and was previously employed part-time at Papa Murphy’s. He was awarded over $72,000 in merit scholarships to attend the University of Arizona and plans to earn a Bachelor of Science in Astronomy or Aerospace Engineering.
