Lunch B from 12:45-1:15
Afternoons from 3:00 to 3: 15.
The canned food drive continues this week. For every can or food item donated your name will be entered into daily drawings for gift cards, free prom tickets, free parking passes, free athletic passes, and DECA gift certificates. Any nonperishable food items are appreciated such as canned foods, peanut butter, boxed macaroni and cheese and ramen noodles. Bring your items to Mrs. Batina in D102, Mrs. Brady in F209, or Early Childhood Education in L139. Every 3 cans donated earns you 1 hour of volunteer hours. Listen each day for daily prizes.
NHS is sponsoring a toy drive! Bring in a toy between now and Nov. 30 to help make Christmas a better day for a child. Deliver to D102, Mrs. Batina’s classroom. (Read until 11/29th)
The FFA steak fry is coming up on Nov 17th. Buy your tickets from any FFA member for only 15$
The CGUHS Amerind Club Pageant will be held on Saturday evening, November 18th, at Vista Grande High School auditorium.
There will be no tutoring this coming Monday, November 20th. Tutoring will resume on Monday, November 27th when we return from Thanksgiving Break.
COUNSELING DEPARTMENT
Seniors, if interested in learning about NAU please sign up with the counseling secretary to attend the NAU College Information Session on Monday, November 27th. Seniors have a special session during Mastery Period! Hurry and sign up! This is limited to ONLY 18 students. There will be a drawing for a $50 prize!
Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen, NAU would like to help you get an early start comparing all Arizona colleges! The representative will have information to give you during A and B-Lunches. Bring a friend and pick up valuable information to help with planning YOUR future! There will be a drawing for a $25 prize!
December is almost here, and it is CTE/CAVIT Showcase time! On Friday, December 8th, CAVIT and our very own CTE students and teachers will sponsor a “show and tell” event in our gym, to teach students about numerous career fields. There will be lots of displays and current students will be on hand to answer questions. Come learn how you can become a CTE or CAVIT student to guarantee yourself a GOOD career making GREAT money!
ATHLETICS
The Fall sports season is now over! Football, Flag football, Golf, Tennis, Volleyball will need to turn in uniforms and equipment. These athletes will be unable to play a winter sport if holds are placed on their accounts. Normal non-game days Equipment Room will be open from 7am to 3pm daily. DO NOT go to equipment during class (no passes will be issued out). Before/After school, during passing, and during lunch will be available for uniform turn-in."
Softball- Open field is being held Mondays and Thursdays after school. Please come out if you are interested in playing this year. Stop by F108 and see Coach Gil for more info
The boys and girls Golf Teams – We will have our awards banquet on December 4th at 7:00 pm in the library.
