Olivia Grace Demarco-Kramer (VGHS) was selected as one of the December CTE Students of the Month. Olivia Grace was nominated by her CTE Automation & Robotics teacher, Mr. Ramon Estrada-Vega. “Olivia Grace provides a lot of knowledge and skills gained in previous projects before Vista Grande High School. She has expanded her knowledge by learning different programming microcontrollers and software skills in robotics. In addition, she is growing her knowledge in 3D printing and SolidWorks software, a computer-aided design (CAD), along with Vex technology. Oliva Grace has a positive attitude towards learning new things and applying the new skills. Moreover, she is always willing to help students learning journey with new technology and innovation. Olivia Grace follows directions as instruction takes place in the classroom and online platforms. She works hard on individual and team group projects incorporating the new technology learned in the robotics class. Her background and previous experiences in programming have granted her to become a strong leader in the classroom as new programming technology is incorporated. Olivia Grace completes assignments and robotics activities on time and with quality. She has developed excellent teamwork and collaboration skills that are necessary for the workforce industry requirements. Olivia Grace well represents safety in the workplace when working with electrical and mechanical projects. She is a team player who is always willing to help others by assisting them with technical support to ensure her teammates can succeed in their learning. Olivia Grace represents a positive and enthusiastic classroom learning environment that every student will enjoy in the VGHS robotics program. Due to her dedication, hard work, and determination to learn new knowledge and practice new technology in automation and robotics, she has earned the student of the month award.” Oliva Grace’s parents are Mr. Joel Kramer and Ms. Aurora Demarco of Casa Grande, Arizona. Over 1,600 students are enrolled in thirteen different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District.
