As we open the new year, 2022, with excitement, I would like to congratulate Alicia Behrens who has been in education for 10 years. Ms. Behrens has teaching experience at the middle school and high school levels in the areas of Math, English Language Arts, and in co-taught classrooms supporting students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs). There are many characteristics that make her a joy to be around. She has a great sense of humor and enjoys singing. Ms. Behrens has done a spectacular job in complex teaching experiences since the pandemic began. Regardless, she has been a great team member on Vista Grande’s campus and stepped up to support students any time she could do so. A welcomed example of contributing to the needs of students was representative in her willingness to teach English in short notice. It was a challenge, but she stepped up to meet a need and she has been excelling and doing a fantastic job helping to meet the needs of our students. Lastly, Ms. Behrens has decided to continue her education by pursuing her Master's degree. She has been a true team player! - Dr.Anna Battle, Superintendent
