Clubs and Activities:
CGUHS Drive thru trick or treat event will be Saturday October 30th in the parking lot. Any clubs, activities or sport groups who want to participate by decorating their parking spot and dressing up in costumes to pass out candy please reach out to a member of student council or Mrs. Brady.
The JCAC (Anime Club)
will have its next meeting on Thursday, October 21st from 3:15 until about 4:30 pm. Room D107. Bus passes are available. All are welcome
Key Club
Dues are due on November 1st for both new and returning members. New members need to pay $25 and returning need to pay $15. The deadline to join Key Club for new members will be November 1st
Are you interested to join a new club. Do you like diversity? Are you interested in cultures or travel around the world? Are you learning to speak a second language or do you think you might want to one day? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, come check out our student-led club. The Bilingual Multicultural Club will have a meeting on Friday during Cougar Hour in Mrs. DeVet’s room. That is in room F101. We will be discussing our help at the Trunk or Treat event and connecting it with other cultural events such as Dia De Los Muertos. We need volunteers to help pass out candy on Halloween night. Get involved and come have fun with us.
General Announcements
Starting this week CGUHS will have a candy drive to help provide candy for our 2nd annual drive thru trick or treat event. Please bring Halloween candy to your 2.5 teacher. The class who donates the most candy will receive a special reward.
Homecoming dance 2021, the Sequel will be on Saturday Nov. 6th at 8pm. If you previously purchased a ticket you do not need to purchase another one. If you are unable to attend the dance and need a refund please see Brad in the bookstore. Refunds will only be offered until Friday October 29th.
Picture retakes: Senior Picture Retake Day is on October 25th, Monday. Grades 9, 10, & 11 Picture Retake Day is on October 26th, Tuesday.
Seniors
Seniors: If you would like to tour Grand Canyon University on November 18th, permission slips are now available in the counseling area. There are only 50 spots and the deadline to turn in your permission slip is this Friday. Please email Mrs. Miraldi with questions.
Class of 2022: Have you created your FSA ID to complete your FAFSA? The drawing for the gift cards is this Wednesday at noon. Please email your counselor a screenshot of your FSA ID confirmation to be entered into the drawing.
SENIOR QUOTES submission guidelines and link is available in the yearbook website. Deadline of submission for Senior Quotes is on November 26, 2021.
