The CGUHS Student Council was awarded the 2021-2022 Outstanding Council of Distinction Award at the Arizona Association of Student Councils Convention during the weekend of February 17-19. Students had to show evidence of community service, leadership, school spirit, as well as have letters of recommendation and support from their sponsor and principal. This year's Student Council has worked hard to plan events such as the Trick or Treat Drive Thru, pep assemblies, Homecoming, and Powderpuff Football. They have raised money for the Juvenile Diabetes Association and planned and participated in several campus cleanups. The Student Council is advised by Stacy Brady, Science Teacher.
