The Casa Grande Union High School (CGUHS) Color Guard and Indoor Percussion Ensemble competed at the WGAZ (Winter Guard Arizona) Focus Show the weekend of March 4-5 and earned 2nd Place. WGAZ was founded to draw together the growing winter guard, percussion, and wind activity, as well as to standardize rules and provide leadership and guidance in a competitive venue. WGAZ Championships will be held April 1-2. The two-day championship event showcases more than 160 ensembles from across the state of Arizona. Member units prepare for this event by competing in at least three WGAZ sanctioned competitions throughout a competition season. The Cougars are instructed by Martin Hebda, Fine Arts Teacher.
