Jaelynn Diaz of Vista Grande High School was recognized Tuesday, February 1, as the Casa Grande Union High School District’s VGHS Rotary Club of Casa Grande Student of the Month during the district’s Governing Board meeting. Jaelynn was recognized for her accomplishments and activities: GPA 4.0, Academic Award (9, 10), Central Arizona College/VGHS (Dual Enrollment), University of Arizona (Acceptance), Employment (Boston’s Pizza, Chipotle), JROTC (9, 11), JROTC Drill Team (9, 11), JROTC Drill Team Commander (11), JROTC Color Guard (11), DECA (9), Link Crew (11, 12) Link Crew Commissioner (12), National Honors Society Treasurer (12), and Upward Bound (12). After high school, she plans to attend Central Arizona College (CAC) for two years then continue her education at the University of Arizona (UArizona). Jaelynn will study nursing and specialize in pediatrics. Her goals are to complete her college degree in less than five years. From there, she would love to own a pediatric office and purchase a home for her mom. Jaelynn’s parents are Fred Quintero and Jessica Diaz.
