Delaney Dickey of Vista Grande High School was recognized Tuesday, May 4, as the Casa Grande Union High School District’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month at the Casa Grande Union High School District’s Governing Board meeting. Delaney was nominated by her Technical Theatre teacher Ms. Sara Ragain at Vista Grande High School. Ms. Ragain nominated Delaney because she is always going above and beyond for the Technical Theatre program. She volunteers to do tech whenever there is anything happening in the auditorium. She holds an office in Thespians and SkillsUSA. She plays a part in every production behind the stage and on stage. Ms. Ragain also commented, “Delaney has made my first year at Vista Grande High School amazing and easy with her knowledge, optimism, and happy spirit.” Delaney’s parents are Joshua and Tara Dickey of Casa Grande. Over 1,600 students are enrolled in 15 different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month, a different CTE program nominates a deserving student for this honor. For more information on the CTE programs, visit www.cguhsd.org/CTE.aspx.
