The SkillsUSA National Competition was held virtually for the second year in a row. With that, the Team Works competitors were expected to be on camera from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. breaking for a 30-minute lunch while still on camera. Some challenges were that the materials list was written by east coast contractors, material availability, and technology (the cameras didn’t always cooperate). Overall, the students did very well, scoring high in carpentry, masonry, and electrical. Additionally, they performed exceptionally in the presentation of their action plan.
