MESSAGE FROM SPANISH TEACHERS. NATIONAL HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH IS CELEBRATED IN THE UNITED STATES FROM SEPTEMBER 15 TO OCTOBER 15. OUR SCHOOL WILL CELEBRATE THIS EVENT WITH A FIESTA. FIESTA WILL BE THIS THURSDAY AFTER SCHOOL (OCTOBER 3RD) IN THE CAFETERIA FOR ONE HOUR. ACTIVITY BUS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT 4:30PM. THE BAND “CODIGO QUINIENTOS VEINTE” WILL PERFORM AND WE WILL DANCE. THREE FOOD TRUCKS WILL BE AVAILABLE OUTSIDE THE CAFETERIA. PLEASE JOIN US TO CELEBRATE.
Congratulations to the Pride of Casa Grande Marching Band. Saturday in the heat they hosted a band competition with twenty bands. They earned second place and received the caption award for outstanding percussion. Yee-Haw!
Thank you to all of the students that came out Saturday and volunteered to help at the CG band competition. You all worked so hard in the heat. We appreciate you all so much!

Float building will be Mon.-Thurs. this next week from 4:00-7:30 under the home bleachers. Everyone is welcome to participate to help to make your Cougar Crazy class float!

1. Mandatory Clean Up Saturday Oct 5 at 8:00 am-must attend this one or the Clean Up in April
2. Sign up in D102 to work Octoberfest on Saturday 10/19/24 from 11:30-3:30 pm to help set up. (Please note the time change)
CLUBS & ACTIVITIES
FRESHMAN STUDENT COUNCIL MEETINGS every Tuesday morning at 7:45am in A195. All are welcome. Please join us to plan and implement our Homecoming float and to help with future fundraising events.
The Sophomore Student Council will meet on Tuesday, September 30th @ 7:45 in room F209. All Sophomores are welcome to attend!
ATHLETICS
Boys' Basketball (9/27-10/2): Congratulations to the Boys’ Freshman and JV Basketball with both teams going 2-0 in the Fall Ball Classic. Varsity will play Ben Franklin High School Thursday night for top place in the Stellar 6 League. Open gym will today Monday September 30th and Wednesday October 2nd here at Union from 4-6pm. All players trying out for basketball must turn in their physicals to Katrina Wagner and complete Register My Athlete before November 4th. Questions regarding Physicals and Regester My Athlete please Katrina Wagner. If you have questions regarding basketball, see Coach Howell in room B-104.
Girls Basketball 9/17-10/2: Come and check out girls' basketball. The next open gym will be Wednesday Oct 2nd at Cactus Middle School from 6-8pm. If you have any questions, please see Coach Howell in room B-104.
Pay to Participate Fees – ALL Fall athletes go to the bookstore to pay your pay to participate fee. Fees are \$60.00 this year.
Game Tickets - Adults $6.00 Students $4.00 - Tickets may be purchased at the gates for cash or at https://gofan.co there is a $1 service fee when purchasing through go fan.
ATHLETIC PASSES – Athletic passes may be purchased in the bookstore.
Student passes $25 (pass will be printed on your ID)
Family Pass $65 (pass allows up to 5 people in)
Athletes – If you are a 2023/2024 Winter or Spring Athlete or a CURRENT 2024 Fall Athlete, please come see Mrs. Wagner at your lunch to have your ID stamped for free entrance into athletic events – ID's will NOT be stamped at the gate so do this early. ID MUST be present at the game with stamp to be allowed into the game for free NO ID means you must pay the $4.00 entrance fee NO EXCEPTIONS!
CLEAR BAGS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED
NO FOOD OR DRINKS INCLUDING REUSABLE CUPS AND WATER BOTTLES ARE NOT ALLOWED – LEAVE THEM IN THE CAR!
THERE WILL BE NO RE ENTRY FOR ANY REASON – MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED!
