(VGHS) Jaylin Villegas, daughter of Jason & Megan Villegas, has been named the March Rotary Student of the Month. Jaylin is an accomplished and driven student who has consistently demonstrated excellence both in and out of the classroom. Throughout her high school years, she has been a dedicated member of the cheer team for four years, with a total of 12 years of experience in the sport. Her time in cheer not only showcased her athleticism but also her ability to work as a team and lead with enthusiasm.
Academically, Jaylin has consistently performed at a high level, earning a spot on the Honor Roll all four years of high school. She is a proud member of the National Honor Society, where she has demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and community service. Additionally, she has served on the Student Council for three years, where she actively contributed to school activities and represented her peers.
Outside of school, Jaylin has gained valuable work experience as a server, where she has honed her communication and customer service skills. Her work ethic and dedication are evident both in her academic achievements and her ability to balance a job alongside her extracurricular activities.
In pursuit of her future career goals, Jaylin has taken the initiative to complete six college credits, showcasing her commitment to her education and future aspirations. She plans to obtain a bachelor's degree with the goal of becoming either an EMT or a Registered Nurse, professions that align with her passion for helping others and making a difference in her community.
With her combination of leadership, academic achievements, and personal commitment to service, Jaylin is well on her way to a successful future, ready to make a positive impact in whichever field she chooses to pursue.
