Robotics Team

CG-RoboticsFirstTechChallenge

The CGUHS Robotics Team received a $1,000 grant from the Arconic Foundation. The funds are directly deposited into the team’s For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST®) account to use for registration fees, purchase of materials, etc.

Robotics Team Advisor John Morris applied for and will receive a $10,000 grant from Nissan as well as a $2,500 grant from Abbott Fund. The Nissan grant will be received directly in the next couple of weeks while the Abbott Fund grant credited to their FIRST® account.

The Robotics Team is sponsoring and mentoring a robotics team at Villago Middle School. The middle school team sponsor is Villago Science Teacher Mrs. Love. Meetings have already occurred with Mrs. Love via Zoom, and more will occur with the middle school team via Zoom early next week. Team leadership met this week via Teams to plan a curriculum and build a schedule for the middle schoolers as well as the team.

The Robotics Team is advised by CTE & Mathematics Teacher John Morris. Visit their webpage at www.cguhsd.org/cgRoboticsTeam.aspx.
