Each year, the Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers program grants classroom wishes to teachers across the state of Arizona. In November, VGHS English & Yearbook Teacher Kristin McCallin was selected as one of 40 recipients for her efforts in helping Link Crew get funded at VGHS. Link Crew is a group of juniors and seniors who provide a more positive and welcoming environment for incoming freshmen. Ms. McCallin was awarded $2,500 to use via DonorsChoose. She will be honored during the halftime show at the Guaranteed Bowl on December 26, 2020, and the Fiesta Bowl Parade on April 10, 2021. In response, Ms. McCallin said, “I am so honored and exited to have been selected as one of the 40 recipients this year.
