The officers of the CGUHS STEM Advisory Committee met with Mr. Mabb, Principal of CGUHS, on Friday, August 31. The committee is designed to provide a means for students enrolled in the CGUHS STEM Program to work with faculty and administrators to impact and improve the quality of their education. The students of Biotechnology and Engineering shared the purpose of the CGUHS STEM Program with the new principal. They also shared the various accomplishments, not only of their own subjects but STEM-related clubs, that provide opportunities for leadership growth, socialization, and enjoyment. The STEM Advisory Committee Officers include: STEM Advisory Committee Chairperson - Julia Leija; Vice Chairperson - Benjamin McFann; Treasurer - Dylan Benevente; Secretary - Alora Linehan; Biotechnology Upperclassmen Representative - Genevieve Hayes; Biotechnology Underclassmen Representative - Kennedy Claud; HOSA Representative - Lillian Hernandez; Engineering Upperclassmen Representative - Malorie Johnson; Engineering Underclassmen Representative - Zachary Martinez; and SkillsUSA Engineering Section Representative - Renee Chaffee.
